INTRODUCTION TO BRITSPEED
BRITSPEED PARTS & PERFORMANCE is a parts and service
business operated by myself, Bob DeShane. My credentials
include decades as a British car enthusiast and as a provider
of service and support for the classic British car enthusiast
and motorsports communities as a parts supplier, as a club
founder and member, club executive, racer and business
owner of the following organizations: British Automobile
Racing Club, Peterborough Motorsport Club, British Motor
Trade Association, Victoria British Car Club, MG Car Club of
Toronto, Vintage Automobile Racing Association of Canada
and BURLWOOD Motorsport Club and currently as a Director
of the British Car Council Inc.
BRITSPEED maintains a comprehensive stock of high quality
British-made parts for most BMC/Leyland/Rover and Triumph
cars as well as many other marques at our Lindsay, Ontario
shop where we also offer repair and rebuilding services.
We only stock the best of parts and have taken great pains to
ensure that our parts are manufactured by and sourced from
our UK partners therefore ensuring the best of quality, fit and
durability for our customers and their treasured cars. Folks
appreciate that it is almost impossible to stock every single
part for such a wide range of older cars as exists in our field
of interest. However, we are fortunate that we have almost
instant access to several UK partner warehouses along with
quick overseas shipping to best serve our customers here in
Canada.
Our knowledge and experience enables us to provide help
and advice to our valued customers to achieve the most
satisfactory result possible.3
BRITSPEED does not offer a comprehensive on-line catalogue
like some of the “majors” but instead, we offer personalized
service over the telephone or text or by email or Facebook
Messenger. We are “Old School” in that we like to get to
know our customers and learn about their cars, something
that is not available with on-line ordering.
We use real manufacturer part numbers and not the Moss
Motors type of numbering meant to create deliberate
confusion. However, we can and will help those who only use
MM references.
